Under India’s SPDI rules, we do not hold sensitive data beyond needed purposes. We periodically review stored data and delete what’s no longer required.
Your Rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (2023), you have rights to:
- Access your personal data we hold.
- Rectify mistakes.
- Erasure (deletion), subject to legal limits.
- Withdraw consent (e.g. unsubscribe).
We also provide a nomination mechanism for heirs (if needed). We commit to respond to data requests (as required by DPDP rules) within 90 days.

Advertising & Collaboration Policy
Habitus Journal does notrun paid product ads or endorsements. We do collaborative editorial features only, partner projects that fit our cultural mission.
No Paid Ads: We will not publish native ads or sponsored content disguised as journalism.
Collaborative Features: We welcome subject-matter experts, designers, or brands that help
illuminate a story. Collaborations may appear as interviews, case studies, or co-authored essays.
Pitch Process: Interested collaborators may pitch ideas via our submission form (see below). Pitches must explain how your expertise or project has cultural significance. Provide examples or references.
Vetting: We review pitches for editorial fit. If accepted, we outline what we need (e.g. interview time, document access). The collaborator provides factual input; we write the story.
Disclosure: Every collaborative piece includes a disclosure. E.g.: “Disclosure: [Partner Name] provided access and insights for this story. Editorial decisions were made by Habitus Journal.” If any compensation or gift is involved, it will be clearly noted.
Independence: We retain full editorial control. We fact-check and finalize all content. Collaborators may review technical details but cannot dictate the narrative or opinion.
